Yikes! I remember those days, except they were Barbies and not Legos.
Your not alone ours looks like that all the time.. I use to be so bad about constantly picking up after them now I'm like oh well...
That looks like my boys' room! I want to go through it with a SHOVEL!! (Ooh, I have the day off tomorrow. And they'll be at school. Hmmmmm....)
Now that's a sight I haven't seen for a while--but remember fondly. It got so bad at our house that eventually Mom and Dad locked up all the toys in a big cabinet and checked out two "sets" every week (i.e. legos and tinkertoys, or cars and marble tracks).

change the color of the carpet to brown- throw in some 2x4s and some power tools it would look just like our living room
