Nathan really didn't know what to think of all this. Last year he was not quite 1 year old so he doesn't remember doing this before. Will was Thomas the Train last year and this year he wanted to be James the train. Isn't Witt is just so "a-peeling" in that monkey suit!?
There ended up being a side conversation between Nathan and Witt. "Hey, you look silly..."
"I'm gonna get you!!"
We went to our church building to trick or treat. Everyone brings candy and sits in a circle for the kids to come around for their goodies. It took a little coaxing for Nathan to get the gist of it all, but he finally got the picture.
Eventually he just wanted to put the candy in his own bag though!
He quit the circle of goodness when he got his first Tootsie Pop. It's almost like that's what he was looking for. (Last year he had a grape Tootsie Pop at the church trick or treating event - maybe he does remember...)
Will knew what to do and started making his rounds, but then got lazy. "Mom, you hold my bag, it's too heavy." He hadn't even made it half way around. He just wanted to play with all the kids and eat some chocolate!
Witt sat with another couple and was trying to do his own trick or treating.
We had a great time! I'm glad my boys gave up early. It means there is very little candy in the house and I don't HAVE to eat it. ;o)
As a side note, Nana (my mom) bought these outfits for the boys. Here is Nathan introducing Witt. Baby... Internet... Internet... Baby... ;) (You have to read the post about Nathan introducing to get the joke)
Happy Halloween!
