Pink for October

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and for all the people that have battled breast cancer, my blog is going pink for the month of October.

I got this idea from another blog that was recommended to me: Meeyauw. It turns out that turning font colors to pink is a pretty common practice this month so you may be seeing more of it elsewhere. To learn more about it, click here.

I have a close personal friend that is a survivor of breast cancer. (I don't know if she'd mind me posting her name or not, so for now I won't.) So, my close personal friend, this post is dedicated to you! You know I love you like family!

I invite everyone to take a minute to help fund free mammograms for those in need by clicking on the badge on the right hand side of my blog. This is something small that you can do daily that will make a big impact on someone else's life. Thanks for the support!

Nope! Don't mind at all! I am proud to be a survivor, and honored by your blog!

It is my prayer and hope that all woman are conscious of their body and alert to breast self exams and the necessity for a formal exam by their MD. Also, those who are in their later 30's should get a baseline mammogram. Those 40 or older, please get your annual mammogram. All around the country in many hospitals, mammograms are being provided at reduced rates in anticipation woman would take advantage of the opportunity during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I hope someone reading this is able to take advantage...

Yes, I am a survivor... and I am proud to have survived, and to be adopted into the family where boys rule...!
